I did a workshop day last year with the delightful Vera which was based on the works of one of my favourite artists, Cressida Campbell. This print on black paper was a little experiment at the end of the day, but oddly enough I like the result more than the original print on white.

My darker side
This drawing started as an inspired some amazing drawings one of the guys in my drawing class had been tackling and an interview with Tony Cragg, an amazing sculptor who said that "between a chair and a table are a myriad things that don't exist". However it soon became a bit of a journey through my darker side ... everything in there symbolises someone or something in my life, so guessing I felt the need to get a few things off my chest ... even if nobody else has any clue what they mean.

Passionflowers
Back to etching - had forgotten how much I had missed it. Not sure I am completely happy with the final version of this print as it didn't quite meet the grand vision I had in my head, but I did enjoy the process, and keen to do more etchings when I get back to art school.

Old Man Tree
This was my first foray into lithography - possibly the most complicated printmaking process on the face of the Earth, but definitely something I would like to get into a lot more. This is one of my favourite trees along the beach track where I live ... my two year old niece now recognises it as the grandad tree (unless the "grog-grog tree" is more in reference to what happens there most Saturday nights).
Play nicely in my garden ... and I'll play nicely in yours

This linoprint was one of the first I did this year at art school and is still one of my favourites. It says a lot about where I was at the time - bringing together imagery from the sea and from Japan. Two things that have been on my thoughts this year.
